A dedicated team of scientists

A multi-disciplinary team of experienced scientists is dedicated to providing non-clinical advanced immunological research.

The team, comprising of study directors, pathologists and biologists and supervised by Prof. Jacques Descotes, a world-recognized expert in immunotoxicology, works with CIT’s pharmaceutical and biotechnology customers to assess the efficacy and safety of innovative new drugs.

High quality animals from reliable breeders

  • Cynomolgus monkeys from Maritius Island and Vietnam on site to start studies at your earlier convenience
  • Cynomolgus monkeys from other origins (Fillipino, China) available upon request
  • Rhesus monkeys from ChinaConfirmed mature monkeys available upon request
  • Confirmed mature monkeys available upon request

 

A large portfolio of assays validated in many animal species

  • KLH T-dependent antibody response (T-DAR) validated in rats, monkeys and dogs with reference immunosuppressive compounds:

- Quantitative assay in rats using Life Diagnostics kits for IgM and IgG

- Quantitative assay in monkeys using Life Diagnostics kits for IgM and IgG

- Quantitative assay in dogs using custom-purified anti-KLH IgM and IgG standards

 

  • Lymphocyte subsets from circulating blood and lymphoid organs (i.e. lymph nodes, spleen, Peyer’s patches) of rats, dogs, monkeys (Cynomolgus):

- Rat : CD3, CD4, CD8, CD45R, CD20, CD16

- Monkey (cynomolgus) : CD3, CD4, CD8, CD20, CD16

- Dog : CD3, CD4, CD8, CD20

 

  • Cytokine profiles in mice, and monkeys

 

  • Inflammation biomarkers

- Fibrinogen and C-Reactive Protein (CRP) in rabbits for investigating vaccine reactogenicity

- Fibrinogen, CRP, Bb C3 and C3a complement factors and chimiokines (MIP1-a, MIP1-b and MCP1 in monkeys

Customized tests for the evaluation of pharmacological activities of biologics

  • Special circulating sub-populations (i.e. NKT cells : NK11 (mouse), B-cell precursors : CD34 (cynomolgus)…) by flow cytometry
  • Specific activated lymphocyte subset by flow cytometry (CD25 or iL2 receptor)
  • Specific cell response to stimulation by ELISPOT (Th1, Th2)
  • Antibody Dependent CytoToxicity (ADCC) assays (monitored by CD20)
  • Lymphocyte proliferation assays (ConA, anti-CD3 stimulation…)

 

Immunogenicity testing of biologics

  • Development or transfer and validation of dedicated assays (screening and confirmatory) by ELISA methods
  • Transfer and validation of neutralization assays

 

Validated tests for contact allergy and photoallergy

  • In vitro MUSST assay on dendritic-like U937 myeloid cell line
  • Local lymph node assay (LLNA) in mice using the reference 3H-thymidine protocol
  • Modified LLNA using –based vehicle for testing plant protection products
  • Magnusson-Kliegman and Buehler tests in guinea pigs
  • UV-LLNA test in mice for testing photo-toxic and photo-allergic potential of compounds by topical and oral administration

 

Immunohistochemistry and Tissue cross reactivity studies

  • Optimization and validation of specific immunohistochemistry (IHC) staining on frozen or formalin-fixed tissues

- CD3, CD20, CD19

- CD11b (inflammatory cells), CD11c (dendritic cells), F4/80 (macrophages) for assessment of adjuvanticity in mice

 

  • Tissue cross-reactivity studies (TCR) on panels of human and animal tissues

- Development or transfer and validation of assays, including relevant negative and positive controls

- Validated bank of tissues from healthy humans and animals including FDA and EMA recommended organs

- Special tissue banks (tumors, transgenic animals) prepared and validated upon request
